ABOUT US
The Northern Ireland Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus was formed in 1969. Its aim was to give information and advice on these two conditions to individuals, families and carers. From that beginning the Association has grown and developed into the professional organisation it is today. Registered as a charity, Registered Number XN48276, it offers, through its links with the UK Association, a wide range of specialised services to the people of Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland ASBAH is affiliated to the UK Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. UK ASBAH is the leading United Kingdom registered charity providing information and advice about Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus to individuals, families and carers
The Northern Ireland Association is the umbrella organisation representing the views of branches to Government bodies and other agencies. Each branch is entitled to send representatives to meetings of the Northern Ireland Association. The Association has six branches namely Ballymena; Belfast; Coleraine; Mid-Ulster; Lurgan/ Banbridge and Western.
