Disability Action is currently looking for disabled people and carers to take part in their Housing Project. There are two parts to the project that they would like help with -
1. Disability Housing Design Panel
The Disability Housing Design Panel will be used to gather information on a range of products/adaptations and housing design. Initially the panel is seeking your views on showers. The Panel will bring together Northern Ireland Housing Executive staff, people with disabilities, professionals and manufacturers.
If you want to share your experiences (good or bad) about showers you can complete the online form at www.surveymonkey.com/showerexperience
(You can also request a paper copy of the questionnaire that you can post back to Disability Action free of charge).
2. Accessible Housing Register
Disability Action is also helping the NIHE to develop a register of accessible/adapted housing. We want to ensure that people with disabilities are involved in working out what should be included in the register and how people can use it. You don’t need to have any technical knowledge we just need your experiences.
